About the role
Givens Aldersgate is looking for a full-time Sous Chef to support our culinary leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the development and execution of seasonal health-conscious menus
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of meals served
- Maintain a warm, welcoming dining atmosphere that reflects restaurant-style hospitality
- Engage with residents to understand their preferences and personalize dining experiences
- Oversee food preparation and ensure compliance with safety sanitation standards
- Maintain inventory and work with vendors to source high quality ingredients
- Maintain adherence to senior living dietary regulations and special meal accommodations
- Train, mentor, and support kitchen staff
- Collaborate with Dietitians and healthcare professionals to accommodate residents' nutritional needs
Requirements
- Culinary Degree or extensive professional kitchen experience
- 3-5 years of experience in a leadership culinary role
- Strong knowledge of wellness-focused cuisine and specialized dietary accommodations

Schedule
Rotating between 9 am - 6 pm and 10:30 am to close, with rotating weekends
