About the role
Bolero Restaurante at Europa Village offers an Old World European experience with a focus on Spanish cuisine. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, an understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures, and an excellent record of kitchen and employee management. Experience with Spanish cuisine is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Possesses and lives Europa Village core values.
- Works closely with the Executive Chef to develop new menu options based on seasonal changes and guest demands.
- Plans food design in order to create a perfect match between the dish’s aspect and its taste.
- Produces high quality menu items.
- Ensures the kitchen operates in a timely way to meet Europa Village’s quality standards.
- Affords assistance in recruiting and training the culinary team and assesses the team’s performance.
- Manages the culinary team and the kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
- Provides support to the culinary and service team with various tasks including line cooking, food preparation, dish plating and plate execution.
- Affords assistance in creating the weekly work schedule for the culinary team.
- Resolves guest issues and concerns immediately.
- Creates tasting menus for clients planning a special event at Europa Village.
- Maintains inventory and orders supplies when needed.
- Adheres to and implements sanitation regulations and safety regulations.
- Maintains a positive and professional attitude at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Reports To: Executive Chef
- Experience with Spanish cuisine is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
- An understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
- An excellent record of kitchen and employee management.
