Full-time $48,000.00 – $55,000 per year Job Summary Bella Sera Event Villa is seeking a skilled, dependable, and hands-on Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in the daily operation of the kitchen. This role is ideal for a strong culinary professional who can lead by example, help manage kitchen staff, and maintain high standards for food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and execution. The Sous Chef will play an important role in food production for weddings, banquets, catering, and special events while helping ensure smooth service and a well-organized kitchen. Key Responsibilities Support the Executive Chef in the daily operation of the kitchenHelp lead, train, and motivate kitchen and production staffAssist with food prep, line execution, plating, and service as neededMaintain high standards for food quality, consistency, and presentationEnsure proper food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety procedures are followed at all timesHelp manage inventory, product rotation, receiving, storage, and overall organizationSupport portion control, recipe adherence, and cost-conscious kitchen practicesAssist with staff scheduling and help maintain a productive, team-oriented work environmentStep into leadership responsibilities in the Executive Chef’s absenceHelp oversee kitchen closing procedures and daily cleanliness standardsSupport banquet, wedding, and catering execution in a high-volume event environmentContribute ideas for menu items, production improvements, and kitchen efficiency Skills Previous culinary experience required; kitchen leadership experience preferredStrong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operationsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchenStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to train staff and hold team members accountable to kitchen standardsExperience with inventory, product handling, and food cost awarenessReliable, professional, and willing to work alongside the teamFlexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Benefits 401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insurance Work Location: In person Apply now
