About the role
This position executes the sourcing process for assigned business areas. The role involves creating and managing purchase orders, supporting procurement operations, and participating in special projects related to data management and system transitions. The specialist will collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure smooth purchasing workflows and maintain compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities
- Create purchase orders (POs) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage and maintain existing POs, including updates, confirmations, and issue resolution.
- Conduct simple contract negotiations.
- Support special projects such as identifying and resolving past due purchase orders, data cleanup, and preparing the SRM system for transition to GEP.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, planning, finance, and suppliers, to ensure smooth purchasing workflows.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support audits and reporting.
- Assist with process improvements and standardization efforts across the supply chain function.
- Support bid analysis, supplier selection, and contract award recommendations.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, or related operations, including experience with creating purchase orders and negotiating contracts.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and pivot tables.
- Experience working with ERP, SRM, or procurement systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
- This position requires driving; a non-restricted current driver's license is necessary, with no alcohol/drug-related driving offenses within the previous five years and a license that is not currently suspended or restricted.
Qualifications
- An undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with GEP or similar procurement platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
