Sourcing Specialist II

About the role

As a Sourcing Specialist II, your primary responsibility will be to support the NSC Procurement Department for the North America-based Eurofins companies. You will report into one of the Category Managers (e.g. Consumables, Clinical, Service Contracts, Capex, Logistics or others) and refine processes as well as execute new category strategies as they pertain to current projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the NSC Procurement Department for the North America-based Eurofins companies.

• Manage purchasing-related activities for specific categories/projects in close coordination with the Category Manager and Business.
• Obtain significant cost savings in your categories/projects while increasing quality and reducing delivery time.
• Effectively collaborate with key stakeholders to understand laboratory business requirements, align on goals, and drive sourcing initiatives.
• Build a project pipeline and lead the sourcing process (RFI and RFQ) with technical experts, including supplier negotiations.
• Influence and lead change management (including test plan setup) to ensure sourcing practices, processes, and tools are adopted organization-wide.
• Demonstrate self‑motivation and a performance‑driven mindset to identify priorities and meet agreed deadlines.
• Conduct research (social media, websites, etc.) to gather market information, cost data, and risk assessments.
• Apply sound analytical skills using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Analyze procurement data and trends to identify improvement opportunities; prepare reports and presentations for management and communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Integrate organizational measures such as supplier diversity, sustainability, cash‑flow improvement, automation, and digitization into the managed scope.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers.
• Apply knowledge of legal and contractual issues when negotiating contracts.
• Organize priorities and projects, adapting to purchasing department, customer, and business needs.
• Remain agile and adaptable to Eurofins and team needs, including potential reassignment of new goals or role adjustments within the purchasing team.
• Work autonomously, manage tasks without constant oversight, and show strong capacity for self‑directed learning on the job.
• Manage supplier selection, RFP process, negotiation, contracting, and supplier performance processes.
