As a Sourcing Specialist II, you will support the North America‑based NSC Procurement Department, reporting to a Category Manager (e.g., Consumables, Clinical, Service Contracts, Capex, Logistics, etc.) and refining processes while executing new category strategies for current projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the NSC Procurement Department for North America‑based Eurofins companies.
• Report into a Category Manager and refine processes as well as execute new category strategies pertaining to current projects.
• Manage purchasing‑related activities for specific categories/projects in close coordination with the Category Manager and Business.
• Obtain significant cost savings in your categories of scope/projects while increasing quality and reducing delivery time.
• Effectively collaborate with key stakeholders to understand laboratory business requirements, align on goals, and drive sourcing initiatives.
• Build a project pipeline and lead the sourcing process (RFI and RFQ) with the support of technical experts, including supplier negotiations.
• Influence and lead change management (including set‑up of test plans) to ensure sourcing practices, processes, and tools are adopted across the organization.
• Demonstrate self‑motivation and a performance‑driven mindset to identify priorities and deliver within agreed deadlines.
• Conduct research (social media, websites, etc.) to gain market information, cost, and risk‑management assessments.
• Apply sound analytical skills and use Excel and PowerPoint.
• Analyze procurement data and trends to identify improvement opportunities, prepare reports and presentations for management, and communicate key insights to stakeholders.
• Integrate organizational measures such as supplier diversity, sustainability, cash‑flow improvement, automation, and digitization into the scope‑managed process.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers.
• Apply knowledge of legal and contractual issues when negotiating contracts.
• Organize priorities and projects with the ability to adapt to purchasing department/customer/business needs.
• Remain agile and adaptable to Eurofins and team needs, including potential assignment of new goals and adjustments in roles and responsibilities within the purchasing team.
• Work autonomously, manage tasks without constant oversight, and demonstrate strong capacity for self‑directed learning on the job.
• Manage supplier selection, RFP process, negotiation, contracting, and supplier performance processes.
• Create a strong knowledge and intelligence base for assigned categories, market dynamics, and relevant suppliers.
• Show strong resilience and ability to work under pressure in a multi‑tasking, multi‑priority environment to manage both operational and value‑driven purchasing.
• Ensure administration, implementation, compliance, and enforcement of national commodity and contracting strategies.
• Drive sourcing process alignment through project management, including compliance regarding scope, timeline, deliverables, total cost of ownership, quality, and budget.
• Lead negotiations for multi‑site group contracts to extract cost savings.
• Build relationships with external suppliers.
• Act as a Purchasing Business Partner for a few legal entities and serve as the single point of contact for internal stakeholders.
