Sourcing Manager, MT Agile Procurement
About the Role
Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Sourcing Manager within MedTech Agile Procurement. The position may be based at a J&J corporate office in New Brunswick, NJ; Raritan, NJ; or Titusville, NJ. This role will be responsible for sourcing execution across Johnson & Johnson's MedTech R&D & Commercial Organization, in support of approximately $1.2B in spend. The primary focus will be on Commercial, with potential opportunities to expand into the MedTech R&D space. This role will be a member of the MedTech Procurement Agile Team, supporting the highest priority customer needs and leading projects working in small, self-organizing, cross-functional teams that work in short cycles, delivering value iteratively, and engaging frequently with the business.
Responsibilities
- Sourcing execution across Commercial Categories that will effectively meet the long-range requirements of the business partners and deliver the maximum value for J&J.
- Lead Agile Project Teams and collaborate with BEL/FEL and Category Leads to assure alignment of JNJ's objectives are met, including quality, reliability, innovation and cost.
- Deliver on financial, service, reliability, quality, innovation, and growth commitments.
- Build and maintain relationships throughout JNJ that results in dynamic interactive dialogue on a broad range of perspectives and information critical to the development of optimal approaches and solutions.
- Develop deep supplier relationships with strategic suppliers to include data review and analysis, performance management and development and improvement of end to end value and bring innovation to the business.
- Identify, develop and direct the implementation of Procurements goals and category strategies, based on deep subject matter expertise and an informal understanding of industry/market dynamics.
- Raise issues that may impact the Global Procurement organization.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent University degree is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of Procurement Experience.
- Broad-based understanding of business operations and practices and core Procurement areas of focus (Spend Management: Category Management and Supplier Management).
- Leadership, communication, influencing, collaboration and talent development skills.
- Able to prioritize requests, and propose effective cost/customer service alternatives when necessary.
- Ability to show judgment in developing new approaches and resolving issues.
- Customer Orientation (building and maintaining strong relationships with J&J senior Management).
- Project management skills.
- Data Analytics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skill.
- Requires up to 10% domestic travel.
Preferred Skills
- Strong level of proficiency with core Procurement skills (e.g., supplier management and performance, supply market analysis, Category Management, Procurement Excellence, etc.).
- Strong level of credibility with internal customers, and with the supplier community.
- Ability to influence and understand differing needs of partners (e.g., businesses, Procurement LT, Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain).
- MedTech, R&D and/or Agile Sourcing experience.
- Business Data Analysis, Business Savvy, Category Management Strategy, Consulting, Cost Management, Due Diligence, Market Savvy, Negotiation, Problem Solving, Process Improvements, RFx Management, Risk Assessments, Risk Management, Spend Analysis, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Collaboration, Technical Credibility, Vendor Management, Vendor Selection.
Pay & Benefits
- Anticipated base pay range: $102,000 - $177,100.
- Eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.
- Eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program.
