What You'll Do

• Support the development and execution of SimpliSafe's hardware sourcing strategy.
• Manage day-to-day relationships with CM and JDM partners, ensuring performance targets are met.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Engineering, PM, Quality, Ops, and Manufacturing teams to resolve issues and manage product lifecycle.
• Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities for existing products.
• Support new product introductions (NPI) by coordinating with manufacturing partners and stakeholders.
• Lead commercial negotiations, including product pricing, tooling investments, NRE expenses, and other manufacturing-related costs.
• Work with the Legal team to support contract review, compliance, and negotiation.
• Monitor supplier capacity, material availability, and operational risks, and support mitigation plans.

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years in managing outsourced manufacturing and consumer electronics development.
• Extensive project management and partner relationship management experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• An analytical mindset with a high degree of attention to detail.
• An enthusiastic and motivated attitude with the ability to build relationships.
• Experience in contracts and contract negotiations, and contract strategy development and execution.
• Experience managing by influence, both with internal and external partners.
• Experience improving supply chain and supplier performance, including the use of cost models and performance metrics in the contract manufacturing industry.
• Experience working with Asian manufacturers and traveling to manufacturing sites.
• Ability to travel internationally 15%.
• Bachelor's Degree in ME, EE, IE, Business, or Supply Chain Management.
• Nice-to-haves: Master's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering or MBA.
• Strong understanding of geo-political and global trade influences within Asia.

Pay and Benefits

The target annual base pay range for this role is $81,000 to $118,000. We offer a total rewards package that includes participation in our annual bonus program, equity, and other forms of compensation, in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and lifestyle benefits.
