Sourcing Lead-Global Labor
About the role
Citizens is delivering a transformed sourcing experience to the business. As a Sourcing Lead, you will leverage key spend data, forward-looking market intelligence, and a fully integrated source-to-pay process to serve as a strategic partner with business line executives. This role will help drive shorter cycle times, increased market intelligence, higher-level strategic discussions, and greater savings opportunities.
The Sourcing Lead will report to the Sourcing Team Manager in Strategic Sourcing within Procurement. You will drive cost savings initiatives for assigned commodities while considering the total cost of ownership across Citizens. The successful candidate will partner with business owners to identify market and economic trend opportunities and execute against them to continually improve value derived from third-party relationships. Strong business acumen and an understanding of the financial services industry are essential.
The primary focus is aligning with business lines to generate a positive impact on their goals while optimizing value for the overall organization. This role supports the Global Labor Category, including Technology Labor, Professional Services, Management Strategy Consulting, and HR Recruiting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing commodity strategies to achieve cost savings and improve quality and service levels by identifying opportunities and sourcing strategies for strategic/complex negotiations.
- Oversee all spend activity for assigned commodities and determine proper action plans for purchases that meet Procurement involvement thresholds.
- Join and potentially lead cross-functional teams to execute sourcing initiatives, including competitive bidding processes and contract negotiations. Ability to negotiate, including contract redlining for all types of corporate transactions using an Agile contracting framework.
- Provide Category Procurement subject matter expertise for associated business/functions; work effectively with functional and business groups as a trusted advisor to determine desired product/service specifications and projected demand when recommending action plans.
- Maintain current knowledge of the industry supply base and trends to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Proactively identify improvement opportunities for assigned category areas and recommend key actions; utilize analytical thinking and tools to identify new benefits generation and prioritize projects to ensure demonstrated impact on the business.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $97,000–$125,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn additional incentive earnings. Actual pay is based on various factors, including budget, work location, and relevant skills and experience.
