Job Responsibilities
- Captures and leads sourcing projects involving Engineering, Manufacturing, and other departments.
- Solicits quotations from suppliers and resolves technical questions between suppliers and Engineering/Quality and other requisitioning departments.
- Develops and recommends cost savings projects and new product programs.
- Monitors commodity pricing and prepares pricing analyses for negotiations.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders and Global Purchasing counterparts to lead sourcing projects.
- Participates in global sourcing decisions and negotiates commercial issues with suppliers.
- Works with Quality Assurance to address quality issues and leads quality and delivery improvement projects.
- Maintains relationships with suppliers, provides feedback, and coordinates visits.
- Aids Procurement Buyers in issuing purchase orders and maintains pricing in SAP.
- Aids Purchasing Planners with expediting needs.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of manufacturing purchasing experience, including Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, and Spend Analytics.
- Experience in contract negotiation, supplier management, and cost reduction strategies.
- Basic understanding of multiple types of components and commodities.
- Experience negotiating with vendors and driving cost reduction initiatives.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management.
- Field of Study: Business, Supply Chain Management.
- SAP ERP and ARIBA systems experience.
- Moderate to advanced experience in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and V-lookup functions) and Microsoft Word.
- Presentation and ERP systems experience.
- CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) certification.
- APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) certifications.
- NLPA (Next Level Purchasing Association) certification.

Job Requirements
- Ability and willingness to pass a 10-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check.
- Ability & willingness to travel up to 10% local, domestic and international to include overnights.
- Valid Drivers’ License must be maintained throughout employment that meets Busch insurance standards.

Work Environment
- Primarily a climate-controlled office environment within a manufacturing facility, with occasional time spent in warehouse or shop floor areas.
- Exposure to moderate noise levels, fumes, dust, and moving mechanical parts.
