SOURCING ASSOCIATE (Dallas, Texas, United States, 75217)

Duties And Responsibilities Of The Position

• Work on projects and assignments as part of a large work team.
• Cook up all activities related to procurement of a commodity, beginning with intent to purchase through delivery.
• Analyze the requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date commodity as needed.
• Solicit and evaluate proposals for the requested commodity.
• Investigate and/or interview potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified requirements.
• Advise team members or management on the appropriate supplier to be used.
• Maintain timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records.
• Cook up appropriate methods needed to distribute commodity in a cost-effective manner.
• Input and update information in sourcing databases or systems.
• Cook up and manage purchase orders with internal stakeholders.
• Track and monitor order status, ensuring on-time deliveries.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Required Experience And Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
• 0-2 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.

• Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
• Demonstrated ability to learn Microsoft Office Suite products.
