About the role

Join the largest manufacturer of tile and natural stone in the United States as a Sorter with Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries. This role involves inspecting and sorting finished tile, ensuring quality and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tile for shade and visual defects.
• Discard defective tile into trash hoppers.
• Monitor equipment or processes and report problems to supervisor.
• Follow standard operating procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Previous manufacturing/production experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong record-keeping and listening skills.
• Accurate measurement capability.
• Ability to understand and speak basic English.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; may occasionally sit, climb, or balance.
• May lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and a wide range of temperatures.
• Noise level is usually loud.
