About the role
The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Sorter/Processor to assist in the operation of the sorting room or production area.
Responsibilities
- Assist as required with sorting room operation.
- Cross-train in all sorting room functions under the guidance of the Sorting Room Supervisor.
- Aid in cleaning and general maintenance of sorting room area.
- Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area.
- Process and sort donations by inspecting and separating saleable from unsaleable items.
- Deliver a minimum of 300 store-quality garments per hour.
- Categorize and box seasonal clothing, bric, and shoes.
- Process, hang, and tag all sorted merchandise.
- Ensure clothes are hung according to policy and on proper hanger.
- Ensure that tags are properly placed on garments according to Salvation Army policy.
Requirements
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Skills
Attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and basic computer skills are essential.
