Sorter PM - Richmond LTL

About the role

As a PM Sorter, you sort and separate freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks
• Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out
• Load freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer
• Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles
• Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items
• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery

Requirements

• Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders

Qualifications

• Specialized education is not required
• No experience necessary
