Sorter PM 541 - Truck Parker
Description
The PM Sorter sorts and separates freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules. The Truck Parker moves courier vehicles in and out of the warehouse and parks them as required.
Responsibilities
- Unload freight from curb-side trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curb-side trucks
- Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out
- Load freight into line-haul / cube truck or trailer
- Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles
- Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items
- Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery.
- Parking of Purolator Vehicles
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Specialized education is not required.
- Must have a valid Class 5 B.C. license.
- Must have no more than four (4) points on a valid Class 5 B.C. drivers license (abstract required).
- Must successfully pass the Defensive Driving course.
