Sonographer - MFM (72581)

About the role

The Sonographer for our MFM (Maternal Fetal Medicine) clinic performs ultrasound examinations and records the findings. This includes routine ultrasound exams, as well as specialized procedures as directed. This position offers the ability to grow within our organization while working as a team and loving what we do every day.

Responsibilities

• Performs nuchal translucency scans per established standards and guidelines.
• Completes fetal surveys.
• Performs hysterosonograms, as well as 3D-4D scans.
• Auxiliaries with IUD checks, amniocentesis, and other related procedures.
• Evaluates the images for their quality but also interprets what was captured in the image.
• Documents/updates information in patient’s electronic medical record.
• Represents clinic in a professional manner.
• Treats all customers, internal and external, in a courteous and cooperative manner.
• Attends required meetings and participates in team activities and professional development activities.
• Demonstrates and embodies the Women’s Care mission and core values.
• Complies with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid OB/GYN ARDMS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent MFM experience.
• Experience with 3D-4D scans.
• Excellent bedside manner and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a stressful, deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to communicate with coworkers, providers and patients in a courteous and effective manner.
• Ability to use a computer and enter data in electronic medical record system, eCW a plus.
• Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
