About the role

We are looking for a Breast Sonographer II to join our team in Orlando, FL. In this role, you will operate sonography equipment independently to create necessary images and obtain measurements with a high degree of accuracy. You will communicate with patients, relay pertinent information to radiologists, and document findings. This position offers a supportive, patient-focused environment where you can make a meaningful impact on women's health.

Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality ultrasound images and obtain appropriate measurements for each exam.
  • Document all applicable patient and procedure data consistently and correctly.
  • Explain procedures to patients to maximize comfort and cooperation.
  • Monitor patients during all phases of the procedure, ensuring emotional and physical well-being.
  • Assist and/or chaperone radiologists during ultrasound exams.
  • Assist radiologists during ultrasound biopsy procedures using sterile technique and universal precautions.
  • Communicate patient information professionally to patients and referring physicians' offices.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment for cleanliness, proper maintenance, and safety.
  • Foster a good working relationship with radiologists and other center staff members.
  • Understand, promote, and demonstrate the Solis Way in all interactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program (exceptions for non-U.S. education reviewed case-by-case with HR approval).
  • Active certification with ARDMS (SPI only is not eligible) or ARRT(S); ARRT-BS is acceptable if performing breast sonography only.
  • Current compliance with CME requirements (exceptions require HR approval).
  • For Sonographer II: 5+ years of experience OR ARDMS(BR) registry, regardless of years of experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate procedures to patients and educate them about preventative breast health.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and comprehending medical terminology.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Knowledge of database software and RIS/PACS software.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
