About the Role

A Sonographer responsible for performing general, vascular, and cardiac ultrasound procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Operate ultrasound equipment, review patient records, position patients, select appropriate transducers, and adjust technical factors for accurate imaging.
  • Identify, record, and label images, ensuring proper documentation and billing.
  • Analyze sonograms and communicate findings to physicians.
  • Maintain equipment performance and ensure safety and functionality.
  • Provide age-appropriate patient care, ensuring safety and comfort.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Sonography program.
  • Required certifications within specified timeframes (e.g., ARDMS, ARRT, CCI, AHA BLS).
  • No prior experience necessary.
  • Competency in sonographic procedures, excellent communication, judgment, and ability to prioritize.
  • Flexibility and adaptability are essential.

Physical & Work Environment

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform transfers.
  • Must have clear speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Awareness of potential hazards and ability to operate equipment safely and effectively.
