About the Role
A Sonographer responsible for performing general, vascular, and cardiac ultrasound procedures.
Responsibilities
- Operate ultrasound equipment, review patient records, position patients, select appropriate transducers, and adjust technical factors for accurate imaging.
- Identify, record, and label images, ensuring proper documentation and billing.
- Analyze sonograms and communicate findings to physicians.
- Maintain equipment performance and ensure safety and functionality.
- Provide age-appropriate patient care, ensuring safety and comfort.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Sonography program.
- Required certifications within specified timeframes (e.g., ARDMS, ARRT, CCI, AHA BLS).
- No prior experience necessary.
- Competency in sonographic procedures, excellent communication, judgment, and ability to prioritize.
- Flexibility and adaptability are essential.
Physical & Work Environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform transfers.
- Must have clear speech, vision, and hearing.
- Awareness of potential hazards and ability to operate equipment safely and effectively.
