Responsibilities
- Work closely with physician partners, providing compassionate patient care and delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging across various clinic sites.
- Evaluate sonograms to identify or rule out patient/fetus anomalies.
- Create reports to assist the physician with documentation.
- Communicate sonographic findings to physicians.
- Provide visual sonographic guidance to complete successful amniocentesis.
- Communicate machine errors or needs to maintain quality machines and imagery.
- Restock sonography rooms with required supplies for sonography performance.
- Increase your knowledge of diseases and new procedures through CMEs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by managers.
Requirements
- Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited educational program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with an OB/GYN specialty.
- Knowledgeable of human anatomy and medical terminology related to OB/GYN specialty.
- Compliant with HIPAA as it relates to the use of EMR systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Calm under pressure and compassionate with patients.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of applied physics related to ultrasound.
- Registered in Fetal Echocardiogram (FE).
- Credentialed in Nuchal Translucency, Nasal Bone, and Cervical Length.
- Bachelor's degree in Sonography or other related fields of study.
Skills
- Knowledgeable of human anatomy and medical terminology related to OB/GYN specialty.
- Compliant with HIPAA as it relates to the use of EMR systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Calm under pressure and compassionate with patients.
