Responsibilities

  • Work closely with physician partners, providing compassionate patient care and delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging across various clinic sites.
  • Evaluate sonograms to identify or rule out patient/fetus anomalies.
  • Create reports to assist the physician with documentation.
  • Communicate sonographic findings to physicians.
  • Provide visual sonographic guidance to complete successful amniocentesis.
  • Communicate machine errors or needs to maintain quality machines and imagery.
  • Restock sonography rooms with required supplies for sonography performance.
  • Increase your knowledge of diseases and new procedures through CMEs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by managers.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited educational program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with an OB/GYN specialty.
  • Knowledgeable of human anatomy and medical terminology related to OB/GYN specialty.
  • Compliant with HIPAA as it relates to the use of EMR systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Calm under pressure and compassionate with patients.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of applied physics related to ultrasound.
  • Registered in Fetal Echocardiogram (FE).
  • Credentialed in Nuchal Translucency, Nasal Bone, and Cervical Length.
  • Bachelor's degree in Sonography or other related fields of study.

Skills

  • Knowledgeable of human anatomy and medical terminology related to OB/GYN specialty.
  • Compliant with HIPAA as it relates to the use of EMR systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Calm under pressure and compassionate with patients.
