About the role

We're seeking a passionate Server to join our dynamic team at Sonny’s BBQ. This role offers opportunities for growth and a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Understanding and practicing our mission, values, and objectives
• Greeting customers as they are seated at the table; ensure the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided
• Providing a positive guest experience, menu knowledge, and proper use of our point-of-sale systems
• Taking accurate food/beverage orders and delivering completed orders to guests
• Pre-bus tables to maintain a clean environment
• Stocking service areas with supplies such as coffee, tea, ice, etc.
• Collecting payments and operating cash register

Requirements

• Ability to multi-task, listen, and follow directions
• Someone who thrives working as part of a team, yet able to work independently and maintain a high level of accountability
• Able to stay organized and function well in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
• Able to lead and direct while cultivating a healthy and collaborative team environment
• Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time and handle products, tools, paperwork and equipment
• May be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat, steam, and cold present in a kitchen environment and requested to work with cleaning chemicals
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with a team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a similar role preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
