About the role

As the Solutions Project Engineer, at Linxon you will play a critical role in shaping how we design and deliver high-impact power-infrastructure projects across the Americas. You will apply your technical expertise to engineer innovative solutions for substations, BESS, solar, and rail electrification systems ranging from 11kV to 765kV—directly influencing project performance, safety, and long-term reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate technical specifications and material schedules that enable efficient procurement.
  • Execute key primary designs—grounding, lightning, steel, transformers, switchgear, cabling, BOQs—to ensure robust, constructible solutions.
  • Drive design and standardization reviews to improve consistency and accelerate tender preparation.
  • Support Tender Managers with precise technical data that enhances bid strategy and customer confidence.
  • Prepare tender proposals that reflect optimized engineering and meet client requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure fully coordinated solutions across disciplines.
  • Capture lessons learned from site and commissioning teams to strengthen future tender designs.
  • Work with suppliers to confirm technical alignment and validate solution feasibility.
  • Cook up with project management, planning, tendering, and supply chain to keep bids on track.
  • Review and approve tender technical documents to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Deliver work packages on time and within scope to support winning, profitable tenders.

Requirements

  • You are proficient in CAD tools such as AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
  • You are comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, coordination, and communication.
  • You hold a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 3–5 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with 2–3 years of experience.
  • You bring (or are working toward) a Professional Engineering (PE) certification, which is considered an advantage.

Pay

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $90,400 to $173,300. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
