Solutions Engineer
About the role
The main purpose of PERI’s Solutions Engineer (SOLENG) position is to support PERI USA with advanced Engineering knowledge and established experience. The SOLENG position does this by preparing solutions with 2D and 3D CAD skills including non-standard elements. Leveraging PERI’s resources, the SOLENG collaborates cross functionally with sales and allocates tasks to (TSO) when applicable. In addition, it is the responsibility of the SOLENG position to perform other engineering duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Propose design solutions using most of PERI’s systems.
- Create accurate and complete 2D/3D layouts of PERI systems where necessary and where delegation (TSO) is not appropriate.
- Cook up resources and ensure delivery of projects to meet agreed scope and schedules.
- Work with Senior Solutions Engineers and Sales Engineers to ensure that projects are understood in scope and schedule.
- Design and calculate proposed solutions to meet the project goals and profitability for PERI USA.
- Work with Engineers and Designers to produce detailed and accurate assembly drawings for customers and internal assembly functions with associated material lists.
- Create layouts and materials list where appropriate.
- Meet with internal departments and external customers regarding project goals and timelines.
- Retain technical documentation of solution designs, including specifications, configuration details, and lessons learned from completed projects.
- Serve as the liaison between multiple departments to coordinate resources, resolve technical bottlenecks, and ensure smooth handoffs throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering.
- 2-5 years of engineering experience and the core professional requirements, methodological skills, and soft skills required for the Solutions Engineer role.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel and PowerPoint).
- Advanced application engineering knowledge of PERI systems.
- Ability to coordinate complex tasks, manage tasks scope and schedule, delegate and assign tasks to TSO.
- Ability to perform advanced engineering calculations, propose alternate or custom solutions, check and track details, and changes.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with engineering tools and processes including 2D and 3D CAD design and drafting.
