Solutions Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery to assess prospects' infrastructure needs
• Deliver tailored product demos aligning with each prospect's use case
• Arcitect and execute proof-of-concept deployments for prospective clients
• Serve as the primary technical expert during Heroku migrations
• Develop migration playbooks and demo environments to optimize workflows
• Address technical objections and provide competitive analysis against rivals
• Respond swiftly to technical sections of RFPs and security inquiries
• Collaborate with Account Executives to secure consensus among key decision-makers

Qualifications

• 8+ years in pre-sales or technical sales in cloud infrastructure or PaaS companies
• Deep practical experience with at least one major PaaS (e.g., Heroku, the company)
• Proficient across modern web application stacks, especially Postgres
• Capable of writing and debugging code in languages like Python, Ruby, or Node.js
• Understanding of networking fundamentals related to cloud migrations
• Strong communication skills for engaging with a range of stakeholders
• Able to manage multiple technical evaluations effectively
