Solutions Engineer
About the role
The Solutions Engineer ensures the success of both GoFreight and its customers—starting from the prospect stage, through solution design and implementation, and continuing until handoff to Customer Success (CS) for long-term nurturing. This role bridges business value, technical feasibility, and customer outcomes, making sure success is defined, aligned, and achieved at every stage of engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales, CS, and EPD teams to define what “success” means for each customer from the very beginning of the engagement.
- Design, draft, and implement a Success Plan, ensuring alignment and sign-off from both customer stakeholders and internal teams.
- Lead technical discovery and deliver tailored demos and short trials that highlight GoFreight’s differentiation and ROI.
- Clearly articulate the proposed solution, its value, and how it aligns with customer goals to both external stakeholders and internal teams.
- Guide customers through each stage of the journey—from prospect to adoption—ensuring their business value realization.
- Co-create interim solutions when product or integration gaps arise, while aligning with Product on roadmap priorities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on best practices, industry insights, and GoFreight’s product capabilities (current and roadmap).
- Build strong, long-term relationships across all levels of the customer organization, from executives to individual contributors.
- Support evaluations by addressing technical objections on integration, migration, and security.
Qualifications
- Customer Management & Communication: Build strong, trust-based relationships with customers at all levels; clearly articulate technical and operational concepts, simplify complexity into business value, and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Influencing & Presentation: Persuasively engage both operational teams and executives, delivering impactful presentations and influencing decisions without relying on formal authority.
- Industry Insight: Deep understanding of freight forwarding operations and technology workflows; able to connect industry best practices to customer goals and GoFreight solutions.
- Product Expertise: Deep understanding of GoFreight products and roadmap; ability to translate features into business value.
- Technical Acumen: Comfortable reading code to understand system behavior. Ability to write and run simple SQL queries. Strong grasp of modern technologies, their capabilities, limitations, and trade-offs.
- Travel: Willingness to travel for onsite workshops and collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.

Compensation and OTE Structure
The annual On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this position range from USD 100,000 to 140,000, consisting of 75% base salary (USD 75,000 – 105,000) and 25% commission (USD 25,000 – 35,000).
