Solutions Engineer
About the role
As a Solutions Engineer at Fonoa, you will collaborate with leading global enterprises and work cross-functionally to identify and solve complex customer challenges. You will lead technical engagements, leveraging your discovery expertise to design and implement high-value solutions tailored to our clients' needs. In partnership with our sales team, you will ensure the delivery of impactful and effective solutions, driving success for both our customers and Fonoa.
Responsibilities
- Partner with our Sales team to articulate the Fonoa value proposition, vision and strategy to customers.
- Create and deliver product and technical presentations to new and existing customers.
- Qualify sales opportunities through technical discovery based on needs and problems with customers.
- Be an expert in Fonoa’s API capabilities, advocate for improvements and influence the product roadmap with internal product teams to solve business challenges.
- Drive technical discussions with customers, answering questions and providing guidance on technical features and integration.
- Own technical scoping, gap analysis and technical implementation plans.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation within the organization.
- You are comfortable supporting customers on technical issues where necessary.
- You are extremely organised and apply a methodical approach to delivering.
Requirements
- Full proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- A strong sense of ownership and deep commitment to customer experience.
- A technical mindset and a desire to grow technically.
- Eagerness to learn and comfort with diving into complex problem spaces, including tax technology challenges.
- Able to champion the customer and balance product requests against the company vision.

Qualifications
- Experience in software development, preferably in API design and implementation.
- Knowledge of tax-related workflows and automation tools.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with presenting technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Benefits
Fonoa is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $170K-$200K + commission + equity + benefits, and represents Fonoa’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, the candidate’s years of experience, qualifications, relevant skill set, certifications, and geographic office location. Pay ranges may vary in different regions based on local market conditions and cost of labor.
Pay
Fonoa offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $170K-$200K, commission, equity, and benefits. Actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, the candidate’s years of experience, qualifications, relevant skill set, certifications, and geographic office location.
Schedule
The role is full-time, with standard business hours.
