Solutions Consultant (Hybrid)
About the Role
Promotes, builds, and maintains relationships with clients, customer staff, and end users. Analyzes client and customer business needs, researches and proposes products, systems, and solutions. Provides product development and implementation support, strategic consulting, and tactical input. Participates as a stakeholder in financial and strategic evaluations of vendor partnership initiatives to achieve enterprise-wide operational effectiveness and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Partner with different areas of the organization to research and synthesize market trends and insights, identifying new and innovative approaches to product offerings.
- Perform data analysis to drive key business insights, scalable growth strategies, value-added sales strategies, and detailed execution plans.
- Track, monitor, and report on key performance indicators to convey the value story for Client Tailored Solutions.
- Lead strategic discussions for planning and execution of client-tailored solutions with the sales team and appropriate stakeholders.
- Ensure goals and objectives are clearly outlined to meet customer needs and align with the overall direction and mission of CareFirst.
- Attend client meetings as a Subject Matter Expert for point solution offerings and buy-up opportunities.
- Manage risks and challenges with operational teams and business owners throughout implementation and post go-live.
- Collaborate with vendors on short- and long-term vision and strategy of partnership and offerings.
- Represent the team at strategic business reviews and participate in the scorecarding process of the Division’s partners.
- Support partnerships with new vendors to further expand optimization capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Management, Marketing, or related field. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required.
- 5 years of experience in business, marketing, healthcare management, management consulting, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a healthcare-related field (MBA or MPH, with a concentration in healthcare or health economics) or equivalent work experience.
- Client-facing experience and advanced presentation skills.
- Training and experience in structured, end-to-end innovation processes including project delivery, value assessment, and design thinking.
- Strategic thinking with a consultative problem-solving approach.
- Strong quantitative analytical skills with proven experience identifying and capturing value from strategic initiatives.

- Ability to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence.
- Effective communication and positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including demanding or challenging customers.
Pay
Salary Range: $79,200 - $157,300. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the work is being performed. This compensation range considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, internal peer equity, and market and business considerations. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range.
