About the role

gTech Risk helps protect Google and its users by identifying and implementing controls for significant risks. To ensure gTech's security and agility, the team analyzes gTech business processes to find control gaps, collaborates with stakeholders to resolve these gaps, and provides risk expertise to engineer innovative solutions. We are transitioning our risk management model from a manual, policy advisory function to a technical delivery and intelligence driven organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Google risk assessment frameworks and establish the minimum control standards required for all gTech product and workflow launches.
  • Lead the consolidation and migration of gTech risk data into the enterprise platform, establishing a resilient source of truth for gTech’s risk data.
  • Distill and map complex risk obligations across gTech’s processes.
  • Conduct analyses and policy obligation mapping to ensure clear understanding of operational risks and identify risks to continuity for critical processes.
  • Perform systemic control mapping and gap identification, transitioning the organization from anecdotal assessments to standardized, evidence based compliance by design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or Applied Science, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience managing projects and working with analytics, software coding, or customer-side web technologies.
  • 5 years of experience in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), risk assessment, internal audit, or compliance management.
  • Experience managing first line engagement with GRC platforms.
  • Deep understanding of control mapping and risk framework methodologies.

Qualifications

Benefits

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $114,000 - $163,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
