About the role
The Solution Consultant is primarily responsible for determining the overall strategic, operational, and technical scope of new business opportunities with customers and prospects. Part business analyst, part technologist, part salesperson, the Solution Consultant works closely with sales and implementation teams to understand strategic business issues and to then craft and communicate solution strategies.
Responsibilities
- Work with sales resources and customers to understand needs and then position Thomson Reuters product(s) as the best solution to solve those needs
- Build and present customized demos
- Convey deep understanding of the customer's industry and workflow as it relates to Thomson Reuters products and services
- Acquire and maintain an advanced technical understanding of Thomson Reuters products and services
- Cookordination strategy with other divisions where customer insights and experiences can provide valuable influence and drive revenue for the business unit
Requirements
A strong consulting background is a requirement, as is comfort with sales. Familiarity with the tactical approach of the sales methodology is a plus.
