Line Of Business Technology Solutions Job Description The Solutions Architect (IT Solutions Designer) leads the creation of a comprehensive end-to-end detailed solution with overall accountability for the technical design and delivery of the System Design Specification (SDS) and is largely focused on large-scale, complex or enterprise projects. May also be accountable for complex programming / coding. Depth & Scope Performs complex to difficult technical tasks independentlyAdvanced knowledge of the business , technical environment, processes, tools, various and multiple programming languages, operating systems, solutions design and other relevant technology areasSubject matter expert in at least one area of discipline and consults with clients / or project teams on all aspects of research, analysis, design, hardware / software support, development of technical solutions and/or testingWorks independently as the senior developer on a diverse range of activities and provides technical guidance to others to help resolve issues within area of expertiseLeads the development of detailed, complex and/or comprehensive project plans and understands impact / risk of integrating third party solutionsTypically reports to an IT Development Manager or above Education & Experience Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate5-7 years related experience Preferred Qualifications Strong solution-design mindset with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and secure technology solutions.Strong understanding of enterprise technologies, including application development frameworks, databases, APIs, cloud platforms, middleware, and network infrastructure.5+ years of experience designing and integrating solutions across internal and external platforms, including third-party vendor integrations and enterprise APIs.5+ years of experience producing architecture and solution design documentation that can be effectively consumed by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with the ability to articulate solution designs, architectural decisions, risks, and trade-offs to a broad range of audiences.5+ years of hands-on Java development experience, with demonstrated knowledge of modern Java frameworks and design patterns.5+ years of experience designing and architecting Java-based distributed applications, including service-oriented and API-driven architectures.Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, microservices-based solutions, and event-driven integration patterns.Experience with cloud technologies and containerized platforms such as Azure, OpenShift, Kubernetes, or equivalent enterprise cloud environments.Strong understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure software development practices.Experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI tools to improve solution design that includes incorporating AI-based components in the solutions delivered.Demonstrated experience within financial services, banking, or highly regulated industries, with an understanding of risk, compliance, governance, and operational resiliency requirements.
