Solutions Architect Manager, Startups

About the role

AWS is seeking an experienced and motivated technical manager to coach, grow, and partner with skilled Startups Solutions Architects. This role involves driving growth across a broad set of customers and working closely with sales and business development teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customers' success in building and migrating infrastructure, software, and services onto the AWS platform leveraging best practices and modern architectures
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS Solutions Architect community, especially learnings for what the earliest startups require
• In partnership with the sales and business development teams, formulate and execute a strategy to drive successful customer outcomes worldwide for startups
• Hire, on-board, train, and develop new Solutions Architects
• Coach Solutions Architects in the skills needed to conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions so they can transfer deep technical skills to customers who are considering or using AWS
• Create and motivate the development of whitepapers, data sheets, solutions, quickstarts, and other high-value customer facing content and best practices
• Act as a conduit and liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support
• Broadly engage with Amazon leadership to communicate, drive your vision, and work across the organization

Requirements

• 5+ years of enterprise IT application work that includes at least 2 years of hands-on software development or DevOps engineering experience
• 2+ years of architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc. experience
• 5+ years of technology solutions development and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing experience
• Experience leading and growing teams of senior technology professionals, ideally in customer facing roles
• Bachelor's degree

Base salary range: $194,300.00 - $262,800.00 USD annually
