About the role

As an AWS Solutions Architect in the WWPS HCLS segment, you will partner with our most valuable customers to design cloud architectures using AWS services. You will leverage your technical depth and business aptitude to lead in-depth technology discussions, articulating the business value of the AWS platform. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence Enterprise Architects, Technical Architects, Cloud Architects, Directors, VPs, and CXOs.

You will collaborate with some of the world’s largest companies to craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate AWS adoption. Working alongside account managers, you will drive growth across a defined set of global customers. As a trusted customer advocate, you will help organizations understand best practices for advanced cloud-based solutions and guide them in migrating existing workloads to the cloud.

This role offers the opportunity to shape and execute a strategy to build mindshare and broaden AWS adoption within enterprise customers. Connecting technology with measurable business value is critical, as is the ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Ensure success in building and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.
• Partner with the account management team to formulate and execute a strategy.
• Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
• Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solutions architect community.
• Author or contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers.
• Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting for applications and infrastructures.
• 4+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 4+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
• Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.

• Technical depth and business aptitude to lead in-depth technology discussions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.

Pay

• USA, CA, Irvine: $131,300.00 - $177,600.00 USD annually
• USA, CA, Santa Monica: $131,300.00 - $177,600.00 USD annually
• USA, GA, Atlanta: $131,300.00 - $177,600.00 USD annually
• USA, NY, New York: $144,500.00 - $195,400.00 USD annually
• USA, TX, Dallas: $131,300.00 - $177,600.00 USD annually
• USA, VA, Arlington: $131,300.00 - $177,600.00 USD annually
• USA, WA, Seattle: $131,300.00 - $177,600.00 USD annually

Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
