About the role
The Solutions Architect is part of the Customer Success organization and the Box Consulting team, working across Box and with customers to define and build out complex solutions. This high-impact, high-visibility role ensures customer satisfaction while promoting Box technical and platform solutions. You will build and sustain customer and partner relationships, drive adoption of the Box product and platform, and work closely with sales and field teams to maximize opportunities by understanding customer needs and envisioning future states.
On any day, you could be advising an enterprise on designing an application for a custom document vault, helping a customer migrate millions of files into Box, or integrating Box into a custom CRM. The role involves tackling diverse technical challenges and acting as a trusted advisor to align customer goals with Box’s solutions.
Responsibilities
- Advise customers on designing and implementing complex Box solutions, including custom applications, migrations, and integrations.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, aligning technical solutions with their business strategies and goals.
- Collaborate with sales and field teams to understand customer needs, envision future states, and drive adoption of Box products.
- Develop project scope documentation, statements of work, technical specifications, and business requirements for customer engagements.
- Handle in-depth technical questions during meetings and sales calls related to implementing Box solutions.
- Architect and design technical solutions using Box configurations/APIs, SaaS technologies, integration tools, and partner solutions.
- Present detailed technical information to executives and stakeholders at all levels, including line-of-business managers, C-level executives, developers, and IT architects.
- Establish technical delivery expertise based on market trends, research, and customer requirements.
- Lead pre-sales scoping and deliver repeatable technical solutions that can serve as industry playbooks.
- Develop and deliver repeatable solutions to drive consistent success and best practices.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across Sales and Customer Success to execute go-to-market strategies.
- Accurately forecast capacity and deliver on revenue targets.
- Partner with Solutions Consultants to support bookings target attainment.
- Leverage AI to make faster, smarter decisions and amplify impact at Box.
Requirements
- 5+ years of development, consulting, or professional services experience.
- Experience working in dynamic environments with ambiguity and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Expertise in architecture and system design for cloud solutions, including APIs, DevOps, infrastructure, middleware, scale limits, and rate limits.
- Experience with one or more of the following: Python, TypeScript, Node.js (MEAN stack), Java, .NET, or Visualforce.
- Understanding of REST APIs and JSON.
- Ability to distill complex technical solutions into digestible components for diverse audiences.
- Technical and functional expertise to facilitate conversations leading to solution architectures and strategy.

- Intellectual curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning and knowledge-sharing.
- A driver’s license may be required for onsite client visits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in Enterprise Content Management systems and cloud migrations.
Schedule
Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 3 days per week.
Pay
United States Pay Range: $128,000 USD - $160,000 USD. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits.
