Solutions Architect (Box Consulting)

About the role

The Solutions Architect is part of the Customer Success organization and the Box Consulting team, working across Box and with customers to define and build out complex solutions. This high-impact, high-visibility role ensures customer satisfaction while promoting Box technical and platform solutions. You will build and sustain customer and partner relationships, drive adoption of the Box product and platform, and work closely with sales and field teams to maximize opportunities by understanding customer needs and envisioning future states.

On any day, you could be advising an enterprise on designing an application for a custom document vault, helping a customer migrate millions of files into Box, or integrating Box into a custom CRM. The role involves addressing technical challenges, developing project scope documentation, statements of work, technical specifications, and business requirements related to customer engagements. You will be seen as a trusted advisor, aligning your goals with customers' business cases and strategy, and owning the development and delivery of differentiated custom solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design technical solutions using Box configurations/APIs, other SaaS technologies, integration technologies, and partner tools.
• Present detailed technical information to executives and position ideas to all levels, including line of business managers, C-level executives, developers, and IT architects.
• Distill complex technical solutions and industry solutions into digestible parts.
• Facilitate conversations with prospective and existing customers to design solution architectures and strategy.
• Handle in-depth technical questions during meetings and sales calls related to implementing Box solutions.
• Develop project scope documentation, statements of work, technical specifications, and business requirements for customer engagements.
• Establish technical delivery expertise based on market trends, research, and customer requirements.
• Lead pre-sales scoping and deliver repeatable technical solutions.
• Develop and deliver repeatable solutions to be used as industry playbooks for driving repeated success and best practices.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across Sales and Customer Success to execute on successful go-to-market (GTM) strategy.
• Accurately forecast capacity and deliver upon revenue targets.
• Team with Solutions Consultants to support bookings target attainment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of development, consulting, or professional services experience.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with ambiguity and effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical parties.
• Expertise in architecture/system design for cloud solutions (e.g., APIs, DevOps, infrastructure, middleware, scale limits, rate limits).
• Experience working with one or more of the following: Python, TypeScript, Node.js (MEAN stack), Java, .NET, Visualforce.
• Understanding of REST APIs and JSON.

Preferred Skills

• Expertise in Enterprise Content Management systems and cloud migrations.

Schedule

Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 3 days per week.

Pay

United States Pay Range: $128,000 USD - $160,000 USD. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits.
