About the Role
The Solutions Architect is part of the Customer Success organization and the Box Consulting team, working across Box and with customers to define and build out complex solutions. This high-impact, high-visibility role ensures customer satisfaction while promoting Box technical and platform solutions. You will play a critical role in building and sustaining customer and partner relationships while driving the adoption of the Box product and platform.
The Solutions Architect works closely with sales and field teams to maximize opportunities by understanding customer needs, envisioning a future state, and helping customers achieve it. Responsibilities include advising enterprises on designing custom applications, assisting with large-scale file migrations, and integrating Box into custom CRM systems.
Responsibilities
- Advise customers on designing technical solutions, such as custom document vaults or CRM integrations.
- Assist customers with migrating millions of files into Box.
- Architect and design technical solutions using Box configurations/APIs, SaaS technologies, integration tools, and partner tools.
- Present detailed technical information to executives and stakeholders at all levels.
- Handle in-depth technical questions during meetings and sales calls related to Box solutions.
- Develop project scope documentation, statements of work, technical specifications, and business requirements for customer engagements.
- Establish technical delivery expertise based on market trends, research, and customer requirements.
- Lead pre-sales scoping and deliver repeatable technical solutions.
- Develop and deliver repeatable solutions to serve as industry playbooks for best practices.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across Sales and Customer Success to execute GTM strategy.
- Accurately forecast capacity and deliver upon revenue targets.
- Team with Solutions Consultants to support bookings target attainment.
- Own the development and delivery of differentiated custom solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of development, consulting, or professional services experience.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with ambiguity and effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical parties.
- Expertise in architecture/system design for cloud solutions (e.g., APIs, DevOps, infrastructure, middleware, scale limits, rate limits).
- Experience with one or more of the following: Python, TypeScript, Node.js (MEAN stack), Java, .NET, Visualforce.
- Understanding of REST APIs and JSON.
- Ability to distill complex technical solutions into digestible parts.
- Facilitate conversations with customers to design solution architectures and strategy.
- Driver’s license may be required for onsite client visits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in Enterprise Content Management systems and cloud migrations.
Work Arrangement
Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 3 days per week.
Pay
United States Pay Range: $121,000 USD - $151,000 USD. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits.
