Brief Description Position Summary The Solutions Architect will serve as a key member of tango’s Business Transformation and Solutions team. This role is responsible for converting strategic priorities, operational needs, client requirements, regulatory changes, production issues, and enhancement requests into clear solution plans, BRDs, user stories, release-ready requirements, and implementation support materials. The role sits at the intersection of Business, Operations, Clinical, Network, Client Excellence, Compliance, Analytics, Data Engineering, IT Delivery, and external partners. The Solutions Architect will help mature tango’s requirements engine, strengthen solutioning discipline, support LOE readiness, and ensure work moves cleanly through discovery, requirements, planning, implementation, deployment, warranty, and monitoring. Key Responsibilities Solution Architecture, Requirements, and Story Development Partner with Business, Operations, Clinical, Network, Client Excellence, Compliance, Analytics, Data Engineering, IT, and vendor teams to understand the business problem, desired outcome, current-state workflow, future-state design, dependencies, risks, and success measures. Develop BRDs, lightweight requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, story maps, process flows, solution summaries, and release support materials based on the scope and complexity of the initiative. Translate strategic priorities, client requests, regulatory requirements, operational pain points, and production issues into clear, actionable requirements that are ready for business approval and IT LOE. Ensure user stories clearly define business intent, operational impacts, system behavior, data needs, exception handling, testing considerations, and downstream reporting or control requirements. Support the Solutions team’s role as tango’s requirements engine for new capabilities, enhancements, automation, AI-enabled workflows, APIs, EDI, portals, tempo, and related platform changes. Portfolio Lifecycle and Release Readiness Support tango’s portfolio lifecycle from L1 Discovery through L5 Warranty and Monitoring by ensuring initiatives are sufficiently defined, solutioned, approved, and sequenced for delivery. Prepare initiatives for LOE by assembling the appropriate requirements package, including BRDs, user stories, solution notes, business approvals, dependencies, and supporting artifacts. Partner with Planning and Prioritization to align requirements with release gates, target dates, sequencing assumptions, capacity constraints, and business priorities. Support release planning by clarifying scope, identifying business testing needs, contributing to release notes, validating acceptance conditions, and helping ensure operational readiness. Monitor post-release outcomes, warranty issues, adoption challenges, and value realization to inform future solution improvements and operational controls. Cross-Functional Delivery and Issue Resolution Act as a connective resource across business and technical teams, creating clarity on scope, ownership, decision rights, dependencies, timelines, and escalation paths. Support cross-functional delivery for strategic initiatives, client implementations, enhancements, production fixes, automation workstreams, and regulatory readiness efforts. Partner with Production Issues Command Center leadership and functional owners to determine whether issues require break/fix resolution, enhancement intake, additional requirements, release sequencing, or operational process change. Coordinate with IT Delivery, Data Engineering, QA/UAT, business SMEs, and external vendors to validate solution feasibility, identify gaps, and drive requirements to completion. Provide concise status updates, risk summaries, decision points, and recommendations to Laith and other leadership stakeholders. Systems, Data, AI, API/EDI, and Platform Solutioning Develop a strong working understanding of tango’s core platforms, integrations, data flows, reporting dependencies, business rules, and operational controls across tempo, portals, eligibility, authorizations, claims, DataMesh, Axiom, reporting, partner systems, and vendor-enabled solutions. Support solution design for Decision Engine, Clinical ADI, Referral ADI, PAS API, CRD API, 278 operations, eligibility modernization, claims configuration, provider portal, health plan portal, automation, and AI-enabled workflow initiatives. Work with Data Engineering and IT Delivery teams to clarify data mapping, source-system dependencies, business logic, API/EDI requirements, integration impacts, testing needs, and downstream reporting implications. Help define operational workflows and controls that enable tango to scale growth while improving quality, auditability, consistency, and management-by-exception capabilities. Ensure solutions account for HIPAA, PHI protection, privacy, security, client-specific requirements, audit controls, regulatory expectations, and operational compliance. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, information systems, operations, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in solution architecture, business systems analysis, healthcare operations, product operations, process improvement, consulting, implementation, or business transformation. Experience developing BRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflow diagrams, process documentation, release support materials, testing inputs, and implementation readiness artifacts. Strong understanding of healthcare operations, preferably including post-acute care, home health, payer/provider workflows, utilization management, referrals, authorizations, claims, eligibility, provider network operations, care enablement, APIs, EDI, or delegated health plan operations. Experience working with cross-functional technical teams, including application development, data engineering, integrations, quality assurance, and production support. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, clarify ambiguity, influence stakeholders, and drive work forward in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to convert ambiguous business needs into structured problem statements, solution options, BRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release-ready requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive-ready summaries, requirements documentation, and decision materials. Strong facilitation skills with the ability to lead meetings, ask effective questions, synthesize input, and drive alignment. Working knowledge of SDLC, Agile delivery concepts, ADO or similar tools, portfolio lifecycle gates, LOE readiness, release planning, testing, implementation readiness, and change management. Comfort working with data, operational metrics, workflow performance indicators, and root cause analysis. High attention to detail, strong organizational discipline, and ability to maintain documentation quality. Collaborative, proactive, accountable, and comfortable operating across business and technical teams. Preferred Experience Managed care, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, home health, post-acute care, delegated UM, delegated claims operations, value-based provider network, or payer interoperability experience. Experience with referrals, authorizations, eligibility, 278/PAS/CRD APIs, 834 eligibility files, 837/835 claims transactions, provider portals, health plan portals, decision engines, care management platforms, OASIS data, or healthcare data exchange. Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Visio, Power BI, Excel, SharePoint, or similar tools used to manage requirements, delivery, reporting, and collaboration. Experience supporting AI-enabled workflows, ADI solutions, automation, system integrations, workflow redesign, operational transformation, or production issue governance. Familiarity with HIPAA, PHI, audit controls, access management, healthcare compliance expectations, CMS interoperability requirements, or prior authorization transparency rules. Performance Expectations Produces clear, complete, approved, and LOE-ready requirements packages that enable efficient delivery. Improves speed and quality of solutioning by creating structure, clarifying ambiguity, and aligning business and technology teams. Supports predictable release execution by ensuring scope, stories, dependencies, testing needs, and readiness criteria are visible and understood. Strengthens tango’s ability to scale through practical solution designs that reduce manual work, improve controls, support automation, and enhance operational reliability.
