Solutions Architect - Aerospace and Satellite Solutions, AWS Aerospace & Satellite

About the role

This role can be located anywhere within the contiguous United States, in an AWS office. Do you get excited by aerospace, space exploration, and/or satellites? If so, then we would love to talk!

Responsibilities

• Provide the architectural guidance and recommendations necessary to promote successful partner engagements.
• Ideation of new managed services streams and unique solutions that positions AWS as a lead provider.
• Aid solution providers with technical strategies that will enable them to sell more of their offering on the AWS platform.
• Hands on responsibilities: PoCs execution, solution development (testing, documentation, training), device certification (if required).
• Write reference architectures and configuration guides, develop courses, and trainings.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge with our broader Solution Architect community.
• Share partner and customer feedback to internal product management and engineering teams to help drive the future of AWS.
• Contribute to AWS’ strategy and understanding of the market orchestrate internal teams to provide solution and new revenue streams.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess deep technical skill in space domain expertise, software architecture, systems design, and cloud/distributed computing as well as strong business/customer facing skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 4+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Pay

Base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
