About the role
The Solution Engineer III bridges the technical gap between WellSky’s solution offerings and client needs. This role collaborates with sales, solution development, and implementation teams to understand client requirements, propose technical solutions, and demonstrate the value of WellSky solutions.
Responsibilities
- Partner with project managers to recommend, plan, and execute development implementation tasks aligned with client objectives and develop risk-mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate discovery sessions to gather and document requirements and assess the feasibility of custom solutions.
- Architect custom solutions focusing on scalability, security, and performance using development tools and technical modalities.
- Perform debugging and root cause analysis for custom solution issues, including documenting troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge in at least one solution application by utilizing multiple functionalities, tools, and modalities for effective customization.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding the feasibility of requests, providing tailored explanations and ensuring scope adherence.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- At least 4–6 years of relevant work experience.
- Programming and software development experience, including coding, testing, debugging, and delivering technical solutions throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with SQL development and database querying.
- Experience developing applications using C#.
- Experience working with Azure DevOps, Jira, and GitHub.
- Experience building and supporting web services and Web APIs.
- Ability to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and translate technical and non-technical concepts into solution designs and specifications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and comfortably with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work directly with customers to identify, troubleshoot, and solve complex business and technical challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies) to enhance software development, troubleshooting, documentation, and solution design.
- Demonstrated interest in adopting emerging AI technologies and incorporating AI-enabled tools into daily workflows.
- Experience working in consulting, implementation, professional services, or other client-facing technical environments.
