Solution Engineer - Applications II

About the Role

This position is responsible for successful product design of sealing solutions using knowledge of polymer, metallic, and elastomer materials and applying general engineering principles. As a strong link between Sales, Operations, and the Technical Team, you will collaborate with simulation, materials, and testing experts to solve advanced technical issues related to critical applications.

You will solve problems across diverse markets, each with unique challenges, and work under time constraints in a fast-paced environment. A sense of urgency is required—not only in completing projects but also in proactively initiating creative improvements to processes.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer applications and build application expertise
• Design and develop sealing components
• Apply engineering fundamentals to the design process
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
• Use project management tools to lead assigned activities and projects
• Work proficiently in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Science, or equivalent (required)
• Master’s Degree in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Science, or equivalent (preferred)
• 5+ years of experience working in specialized industries/markets
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and ability to communicate with customers on technical issues (required)

Pay

The national pay range for this position is $81,500 to $126,500 per year. The base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is up to 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position is $89,650 to $139,150. Bonus payments are variable and not guaranteed.
