Solution Architect - VP

About the role

Design and develop solutions to complex business problems, collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements. Directly influence how front-office teams serve clients, accelerate onboarding, and drive smarter judgment using data and AI.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement technologies and platforms to meet business requirements that align with modern software engineering practices and automated delivery tooling.
• Apply workload placement strategies and leverage cloud capabilities like elasticity, serverless, containerization, etc., to maximize benefits.
• Design solutions that incorporate security principles to meet the Bank's resiliency expectations and balance technology risks against business delivery.
• Adopt standardised solutions where applicable, and contribute to their ongoing evolution if necessary.
• Support operational support teams by addressing fault finding and performance issues, leveraging available tooling.
• Evaluate solution design impacts in terms of risk, capacity, and cost, including project change and ongoing run costs.
• Create architecture inputs necessary to comply with the bank's governance processes, including design artefacts for architecture, privacy, security, and records management.

Requirements

• Experience designing front-office or Markets technology solutions across Sales workflows, client onboarding, trading enablement, and post-trade handoffs.
• Workflow design knowledge across lifecycle states, accountability, approvals, maker-checker supervision, exceptions, audit trails, service-level agreements, and monitoring.
• Experience modernizing legacy platforms with reusable services, integration contracts, canonical data models, and clear migration paths.
• Familiarity with applied AI patterns such as extraction, summarization, semantic search, workflow assistance, routing, triage, recommendations, and human-in-the-loop review.
• Ability to explain architecture through diagrams, proof-of-concept findings, trade-offs, non-functional requirements, and implementation guidance, with direct experience in Java microservices, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, cloud/container platforms, CI/CD, observability, resiliency, scalability, and performance.
• Camunda, BPMN workflow modeling, Kafka, or similar event-driven messaging experience.
• Applied AI experience such as extraction, summarization, semantic search, workflow assistance, routing, triage, recommendations, or human-in-the-loop review.
• Domain exposure to Sales workflows, client onboarding, trading enablement, trade capture, allocation, confirmations, exceptions, or post-trade handoffs.

Qualifications

Minimum Salary: $170,000

Maximum Salary: $230,000
