About the role
The Solution Architect leads one or more workstreams in sophisticated enterprise customer engagements, partnering with key collaborators to drive and achieve the vision while completing key deliverables. They serve as hands-on advisors, using strong communication skills, solution and technical knowledge, Salesforce product expertise, industry experience, and consulting experience to deliver customer return on investment.
Solution Architects are strong presenters and facilitators who co-create the vision, own execution with the customer, and acquire customer acceptance of the delivered solution. They drive difficult conversations, remove roadblocks, and implement business strategies. They analyze issues to resolve root causes and identify corrective actions, connecting with technical and business customers from all levels through C-suite.
This role requires experience in Regulated Industries (Financial Services, Health Care, Life Sciences/Pharma).
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technologies that drive increased business value.
- Guide agents to support delivery with strong communication skills, especially in teaching complex concepts and creative, prescriptive thinking across client organizations.
- Identify and proactively manage risk areas, committing to resolving issues through to completion.
- Manage customer expectations; negotiate solutions to complex problems with both customers and third-party partners.
- Review and correct project/program direction, approach, and key artifacts to keep programs on track and solutions extendable and maintainable.
- Drive a program vision while advising and articulating strategies to enable technologies including the Salesforce platform.
- Engage with Customer Success and Product teams to ensure solutions drive effective achievement of value objectives.
- Contribute to thought leadership and standard methodologies by engaging with cloud-specific practices teams.
- Collaborate internally within your Community and externally in the marketplace.
Requirements
- For Solution Architect: 7+ years of relevant experience in enterprise-level projects using both waterfall and agile software development methodologies, with repeated demonstrable success, and 1+ years of experience in Regulated Industries.
- For Sr. Solution Architect: 10+ years of relevant experience in enterprise-level projects using both waterfall and agile methodologies, with repeated demonstrable success, and 3+ years of experience in Regulated Industries.
- Extensive experience with configuration and customization on the Salesforce platform.
- Ability to drive agentic delivery, with experience in AI toolchains (e.g., Claude, Cursor, Elements Cloud).
- Expert-level experience defining system architecture landscapes, identifying gaps, and delivering comprehensive solutions to achieve business outcomes.
- Experience leading discovery sessions, defining business requirements, writing user stories, and providing detailed system and functional designs.
- Experience documenting business processes and wire-framing system designs using process flow diagrams, UML, sequence diagrams, and recommending future-state improvements.
- Strong presentation skills; ability to articulate a point of view and rationale to diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to rapidly learn and apply new concepts, business models, and technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to develop materials appropriate for the audience.
- Demonstrated team player with experience in large-scale/enterprise implementations involving multiple workstreams.
- A great listener with the ability to communicate effectively with people in diverse roles.
- Resourceful and innovative thinker who can solve problems independently.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Technology, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proven results in delivering high-value business outcomes using an agile approach.
- Experience leading customer and/or partner success stories.
- Relevant Salesforce certifications and accreditations.
- Consulting experience is strongly recommended.
- Veeva experience (Life Sciences/Pharma) or Financial Service Cloud experience is strongly recommended.

Pay
The typical base salary range for this position is $123,100 - $227,000 annually. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations. In California, New York, and select cities in the metropolitan areas of Boston, Chicago, Seattle, and Washington DC, the base pay range is $147,400 - $247,900 per year. The range represents base salary only and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity, or benefits.
