Solo/Lead Pastor

About the Church

Fellowship Bible Church is a small independent baptistic evangelical church in the heart of the Green Mountains in the lovely town of Castleton, Vermont. We have been provided a beautiful church through God's abundant blessings and loyal followers of Christ, with a current Sunday attendance of about 40-55 people.

About the Role

We are seeking a loving, faithful, and devoted Pastor to preach the Word of God and serve as our church's pastor. This role is available full-time (35-40 hours per week) or part-time (20 hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Declare the whole counsel of God.
• Provide leadership in evangelism, visitation, stewardship, counseling, and missionary outreach.
• Personally minister to and supervise all those involved in ministry.
• Equip the saints for the work of ministry and edifying the church.
• Work with members to maintain church operations in a manner pleasing to God, the community, and the congregation.
• Engage in various roles around the church building and community.

Requirements

• Theology or Biblical school degree (minimum of a bachelor’s degree with intentions of pursuing a master’s degree).
• Strong background in biblical preaching and teaching during Sunday service and Bible studies.
• Experience or methods to reach young families while preserving and nurturing an older congregation.
• Ability to work in partnership with all involved in the church.

Pay

Full-time: $48,000 – $70,000 based on experience and education.

Part-time: $25,000 – $35,000 based on experience, working 18-20 hours per week (including Sunday). Pay package and benefits are negotiable.

Benefits

Full-time only:

• Three weeks of paid vacation per year.
• Up to eight paid sick days per year.
• Up to $6,000 per year toward health insurance (candidate secures own insurance).
