Solid Waste Engineering Project Manager
About the role
As an Engineering Project Manager with CEC, you’ll be involved in the design, analysis, permitting, and preparation of drawings and technical specifications for solid waste engineering projects. You will assist in expanding the practice in market sectors that include traditional Solid Waste and Industrial Waste. You will be responsible for developing new business, managing existing client relationships, as well as managing projects, mentoring junior staff, making hiring recommendations, and providing direction on a variety of projects for private and public sector clients.
Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and prepare drawings and technical specifications for solid waste engineering projects
- Expand the practice in market sectors including traditional Solid Waste and Industrial Waste
- Manage new business development and client relationships
- Manage projects, mentor junior staff, make hiring recommendations, and provide direction on various projects
- Develop innovative solutions for private and public sector clients
Requirements
- 6+ years’ experience in the Solid Waste industry including engineering design, operations, and management
- Demonstrated business development and client management experience
- Strong professional relationships with clients in applicable market sector(s)
- B.S. in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering (M.S. a plus)
- California Professional Engineering (P.E.) Licensure
- Civil 3D experience
- Sound understanding of business principles of consulting projects and related project delivery tools
