Soledad Referral In-Person Tutor 24'/25'

JOB INFORMATION

HeyTutor has partnered with a school district in Soledad and is seeking English tutors for elementary students during after-school hours. The position involves working with students aged K-6th grade, assisting with catching up from learning gaps, and actively supervising students.

JOB DUTIES

• Working with groups of students (without teacher or school site staff support)
• Preparing area for tutoring sessions
• Picking up and dropping off students from designated areas in the school site
• Taking attendance and running lessons through HeyTutor Dashboard (if applicable)
• Documenting student progress with HeyTutor Dashboard
• Facilitating students taking and completing baseline and summative assessments when requested by manager
• Leading a group of students in tutoring sessions, using provided curriculum and materials
• Creating an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging among students
• Supporting students in making positive behavior choices
• Engaging and interacting with tutoring lessons alongside students
• Daily clocking in and out of Deputy for shifts
• Performing any other duties as required by the Company, manager, and/or the School Site

REQUIREMENTS

• Completed an AA or higher, or currently enrolled in college
• Tutoring experience (great with kids)
• Comfortable tutoring in High School Math
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting
• Cleared FBI-DOJ background check (provided through HeyTutor)

COMPENSATION

Pay depends on a combination of education and experience and will be determined at the time of the interview.
