Vessel Details
A 36 m private motor yacht urgently requires a First Mate to join in West Palm Beach as soon as this weekend. The yacht operates on a purely private programme for an active family, cruising between West Palm Beach, the Bahamas, Southern Caribbean, and the Hamptons.
You will work closely with the Captain, take responsibility, and be involved across both bridge and deck operations. The owners are building a new team and seek crew who want to stay, develop with the programme, and grow into their roles.
Responsibilities
- Stand a navigational watch and support the Captain with the operational running of the vessel.
- Run deck operations, maintain the yacht to an excellent standard, handle tenders, and assist with guest activities.
- Take on hands-on duties alongside bridge responsibilities.
The atmosphere onboard is active and sporty, suited to someone who enjoys being on the water, looks after themselves, and brings energy to the role.
Requirements
- Minimum Yachtmaster certification; Officer of the Watch (OOW) strongly preferred.
- Capable of standing a navigational watch with a solid understanding of bridge procedures and deck operations.
- Valid B1/B2 visa in hand.
- Available to travel to West Palm Beach at short notice.
