Soldering Technician

Responsibilities

• Hand solder small, complex components and connectors per J-STD-001 Class 3 requirements
• Perform Potting and Encapsulation operations using a variety of different materials and mixing methods
• Assemble Electrical and Electro-Mechanical assemblies
• Support Inspection of Electronics Assemblies per IPC-A-610 Class 3
• Adhere to all safety standards and work instructions
• Perform assembly and inspection operations in accordance with detailed manufacturing instructions, product drawings and quality plans
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records and documentation
• Assist engineers in manufacturing process development activities under direction of the engineer’s written instructions
• Support inventory maintenance of component parts and materials
• Setup and maintain work cells in accordance with 6S principles
• Provide feedback to engineers and supervisor for improvements

Requirements

• Electronics Assembly Experience Required (PCB Assembly and Electro-mechanical Assembly Knowledge)
• Current or Previous J-STD-001 Certification
• Positive attitude, flexible and energetic, ability to work independently
• Ability to excel in a dynamic work environment
• Ability to read and understand written instructions in English
• Must have a high school diploma
• Preferred skills: Current or previous IPC-A-610 Certification, Current or previous IPC-A-620 Certification, Experience with assembly operations including, but not limited to: torquing, bonding, cutting, filing, bending and laser welding, Experience with lab equipment including, but not limited to: precision weight scales, graduated cylinders, and calipers/micrometers, Experience with MS Office, specifically Excel
