NTT DATA is seeking an experienced Solution Architect specializing in Property & Casualty Insurance with a focus on commercial lines and the Solartis Insure platform, including policy administration and microservices deployment. This role requires strong integration skills with enterprise applications and is based remotely, with a preferred location on the East Coast or Midwest.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership
    • Prioritize AI throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
    • Utilize AI-assisted coding tools to enhance productivity.
    • Demonstrate expertise in one technology stack while adapting as a polyglot engineer across the entire application stack.
    • Design and develop solutions using Azure, ReactJS, and .NET.
    • Establish and enforce standards for code, reviews, and best practices.
    • Ensure architecture compliance, performance, and technical quality.
  • Agile Delivery
    • Collaborate with the Product Owner and Scrum Master to plan sprints, estimate tasks, and refine the backlog.
    • Break down business requirements into technical stories or tasks.
    • Participate in daily stand-ups and technical ceremonies.
  • Integration Ownership
    • Contribute to all aspects of application integration, including REST APIs, Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Logic Apps, and other Azure Integration Services.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for integration requirements, coordinating with platform and partner teams.
    • Prepare and verify API contracts, data models, event schemas, and integration patterns through comprehensive documentation and validation.
  • Requirement & Interface Management
    • Convert application-specific features into precise technical artifacts.
    • Coordinate system interface specifications, data flow processes, and communication protocols.
  • Stakeholder Communication
    • Share technical vision, risks, and progress with architects, project managers, and business stakeholders.
    • Participate in cross-team architecture and design discussions as an application representative.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience with the Solartis Insure Policy Admin Platform, covering the full policy lifecycle (submission, quoting, endorsements, renewals, and audits).
  • 8+ years of experience integrating Solartis with enterprise systems.
  • Proficiency in UX development using React and ReactJS, with reasonable experience in Python Fast API and SQL Server RDBMS.
  • Proficient in AI code generation tools such as GitHub Copilot, Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor.
  • Understanding of CI/CD and infrastructure automation.
  • Knowledge of integration patterns (synchronous/asynchronous, event-driven, pub-sub).
  • Strong experience with Solartis microservices and the Azure cloud platform, including services like App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Cosmos DB, and Key Vault.
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET, SQL, and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with BPMN 2.0-driven jBPM rule flows and Knowledgebase servers.
  • Knowledge of collection framework plug-ins for database access, mail, and document generation.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience supporting applications in the Property & Casualty insurance domain, specifically commercial lines (Workers’ Comp, Audit, Auto, General Liability, Property, packaged policies).
  • Strong exposure to underwriting, policy administration applications (preferably Policy Decision), and functional knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders using business language.
  • Ability to manage and mentor regional teams.
  • Demonstrated patience in difficult situations and a commitment to driving customer delight.
  • Passion for the insurance business and dedication to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to follow and drive appropriate departmental and company procedures and policies.
  • Strong team leadership, including recognizing and developing both technical and non-technical skills in team members.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to provide excellent service.
  • Reliability, ability to work independently, and inspire/motivate staff.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with SaaS platforms.

Pay

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. The starting hourly range for this remote position is $90 to $106 across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as the candidate’s work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
