Solar Utility Technician - Wilmot Energy Center - Tucson, AZ

This position sits within NextEra Energy's Power Generation (PGD) non-nuclear operations. The individual will perform daily activities related to heavy equipment operations and maintenance, site vegetation maintenance, and overall site support for solar and battery storage operations.

Responsibilities

• Washing of Mirror Panels with mirror washing equipment
• Washing of Heat collecting elements with washing equipment
• Perform minor repairs on washing equipment as needed
• Perform site clean-up when mirror wash cannot be accomplished
• Heavy equipment operations (e.g., tractor, water truck, mirror-washing brush equipment)
• Preventative maintenance on industrial vehicles
• Mowing on solar fields and weed management in substation/inverter pads, common areas, and BESS yards
• Interaction with routine contractors and vendors
• Trailer loading and tie-down
• Road, gate, and general building maintenance
• Seasonal support for winterization and summer readiness preventative maintenance
• Daily duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Graduate / GED
• Valid Driver's License (Non-CDL)
