Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, and secure solar racking, modules, and related equipment according to project drawings and specifications.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to ensure quality and compliance with project standards.
- Support site layout, wire management, torque verification, and other critical construction phases.
- Aid in troubleshooting and resolving issues to maintain workflow and productivity.
- Adhere to all company, OSHA, and project-specific safety procedures and participate in daily safety meetings.
- Collaborate with team members, foremen, and supervisors to achieve project milestones and maintain quality workmanship.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support project operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of construction or solar installation experience preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and follow construction plans and instructions.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and stand or kneel for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
Preferred Qualifications
- NCCER certification or equivalent trade credential.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
- Experience working on utility-scale solar projects.
- Familiarity with torque auditing, wire management, and racking systems.

Physical
- Must comply with PCL’s drug and alcohol abuse policy.
- Must be able to pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by PCL.
- Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, and stairways.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.).
- Able to carry 50 lbs. of tools and/or materials.
PCL Policy
- Must work all hours needed at the jobsite and possible weekends with short notice.
Safety/Environment Knowledge
- Knowledge of solar construction site hazards which may require special precautions and PPE.
- Knowledge of power generating plant and cement plant hazards and special PPE.
- Understand and implement lockout/tagout procedures as needed or directed in a safe manner.
- Must be able to read and understand safety instructions, signs, labels, and permits in English.
