About the role
The Solar Site Field Engineer will support the construction of utility-scale solar and energy infrastructure projects across the United States. This is a project-site-based role, with engineers working on-site at active construction projects to support day-to-day engineering, quality, and project execution activities. Home trip rotations occur every 3-4 weeks.
Responsibilities
- Cook up inspections and facilitate discussions with local, county, and state Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs)
- Create and conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) to verify that sites have been constructed to design specifications and standards
- Document and maintain construction and engineering drawings, including but not limited to red-line sets
- Compose and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) between construction teams, engineers, vendors, and long-term project owners
- Hold subcontractors and self-perform teams accountable to their Scopes of Work
- Aid in the preparation of specifications, data sheets, and other pre-construction planning
- Maintain storm water documentation logs and orchestrate respective remediation
- Proactively manage project constraints through collaboration with project management, engineering, and construction personnel
- Operate drones to capture construction progress/issues
Requirements
- Experience working against deadlines
- Experience creating reports and compiling data
- Experience working in a team setting
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a technical discipline
- Experience operating drones or possessing an Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) license
- Experience in Field Engineering, Project Engineering, or Construction Management in the Renewables or Oil & Energy fields
- Experience in a leadership position
- Experience communicating in multi-lingual environments
Skills
- Ability to operate drones
- Knowledge of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) regulations
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form. Specific details are subject to the Summary Plan Description, policy or guideline and benefits may vary by geographic region.
Pay
$80,000 - $100,000 per year
Schedule
Project-site based, with home trip rotations every 3-4 weeks.
