Solar Project Manager - Champaign, Illinois

Responsibilities

• Lead by example in safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction.
• Enforce company rules and regulations, and coordinate with Human Resources for disciplinary actions.
• Instruct and assist employees in installing solar arrays safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and job site.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors, electrical workers, surveyors, and other vendors.
• Audit job packets for cost savings and process improvements.
• Evaluate and document all accidents and file required reports.
• Assist in hiring and staffing employees as needed.
• Schedule and perform routine maintenance on company-owned equipment.
• Work with Purchasing to ensure timely ordering of materials and supplies.
• Initiate continuous improvement initiatives with the installation team.
• Act as a key point of contact for customer and supplier issues.
• Manage day and overnight travel to support job sites and customers.

Qualifications

• Valid State Driver's License
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a directly related field
• Two years of directly related experience
• Three to five years of project management experience
• Experience with utility-scale projects of 5 MW or higher, or behind-the-meter commercial/industrial projects
• AC and DC electrical installation experience
• MIOSHA 30 certification

Pay

The salary range for this role is $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 USD, with a potential bonus target of 5% of annual base salary based on performance.

Schedule

Office Environment: 50% of the time
Day Travel: 50% of the time
Overnight Travel: 25% of the time
